Blok1A - Execution

Blok1A é uma banda street punk & drunk de rotterdam, Holanda. Os punks dessa pequena cidade levam um som característico por sua rapidez e agressividade tendo visíveis influências de Exploited, Varukers e mais recentemente de Casualties e The unseen. Com riffs velozes, energia contagiante, solos bem sujos e com quebradas que dão o clima das canções, acabam transformando músicas como “shoot-kill” como hinos para qualquer jovem que curte o espírito do hardcore britânico de 82 , cantar junto no refrão. A arte da capa também não deixa a desejar e retrata o primeiro single do cd, “Execution”, que começando numa marcha tende a um hardcore onde dá vontade de pogar e nada mais.
A banda Blok1A encerrou suas atividades recentemente, porém Deef de Kanarie, batera da banda , ainda continua na ativa na banda Die Nakse bananen detonado na bateria.

Dims Rebellion - Nueva Estocolmo

Formado em 1998 em Estocolmo, Suécia, o Dims Rebellion faz punk rock cantado em inglês com influências de Oi! e street punk. A banda, ao contrário de vários compatriotas, não tenta imitar bandas americanas/inglesas, e fazem algo que pode ser chamado de diferente, principalmente pelo fato de várias músicas possuírem sax e teclados (o que pode soar estranho para muitos em uma primeira audição).
Anteriormente, já foram postadas participações deles nas coletâneas Brewed In Sweden. O disco segue a linha dessas músicas.

The Devotchkas - Annihilation E.P. + Live Fast Die Young

Devotchkas é uma banda americana de streetpunk de Long Island, NY. Formada somente por mulheres, o nome da banda deriva do popular filme "Laranja Mecânica", onde "devotchka" na linguagem clokwork nadsat significa "garota".
Foi formada em 1996 por 3 amigas e diversas bateristas passaram pela banda, finalmente em 1999 Gabrielle completou o line-up.

O primeiro EP veio em 98 pela Punk Core Records e vendeu rapidamente 5.000 cópias, o que é um número considerável para um EP de estréia, especialmente em formato vinil.

Logo depois do lançamento do EP, a vocalista Stephanie deixou a banda e foi substituida por JJ, que é a vocalista do primeiro álbum "Live Fast, Die Young". Após isso, a banda decidiu mudar o nome para The 99's.
A vocalista JJ também deixou o grupo em pouco tempo e foi substituida por Jessica. Resolvendo voltar o nome para Devotchkas, a banda acabou pouco tempo depois.

O Total Chaos é uma banda de streetpunk californiana formada em 1989, o line-up atual conta com Rob Chaos nos vocais, Shawn Smash na guitarra, GearBox na bateria, e dois baixistas (Brock e Dee Dee). Ótima banda que surgiu com o propósito de manter o espírito punk vivo.

"Anthems from the Alleyway" lançado em 1996, é o terceiro álbum da banda, destaque para as faixas: "Voice of the streets", "Complete Control" e um cover do Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers "Born to lose".

Libra - Viviendo en un mundo fachista ... 95-03

Libra es un clásico de los 90 en Medellín y Colombia. Tal vez la mejor banda de punk de Medellín. Curiosamente nunca dieron un concierto, de hecho, el plural puede no ser tan apropiado pues Libra era un grupo de una sola persona. Tomás, baterista de clásicos del underground colombiano de los 80 como Parabellum y HP/HC, decide montar su proyecto en solitario. Toca todos los instrumentos, escribe las letras y la música, programa las secuencias necesarias (algunas baterías son programadas) e invita a algunos amigos para que lo apoyen en las voces o la parte instrumental de algunas canciones. Una propuesta totalmente anticomercial de muy buena calidad. Para quienes deseen degustar un buen material antifascista esta selección de canciones de varios de sus trabajos. Un buen comienzo para quienes no los conozcan (supongo que la mayoría, pues sus discos fueron siempre autoproducidos y difundidos de una manera totalmente subterránea), un sonido crudo, letras supremamente corrosivas y claras. Punk rock a la colombiana con mucha influencia europea en el sonido, sobre todo inglesa y alemana, pero con unas letras y una actitud totalmente auténtica y original. Tiene temas cercanos al hardcore ochentero tipo Discharge y otros más suaves con cierta cercanía al streetpunk aunque sin parecerse a ningún grupo específico, las guitarras tienen un sonido muy particular con ciertas dosis de post punk en la selección de los efectos y ciertos acordes. Mis temas favoritos: Yo no sirvo, Derecho a la vida?, Nada!, Puta del rock'n'roll, Yo no!, Todo es Mentira (aunque son todos excelentes).

The Entire History of Punk é um Box Set com 20 volumes lançado em 2001 pela Dressed to Kill Records (pretendo postar os 20 albuns, e aqui neste post, estão os 10 primeiros discos, num post matador), o disco leva em conta não apenas o punk rock, mas boa parte do que tem sua influencia, alem das bandas classicas da decada de 70 como Damned, Johnny Thunders, Ruts, 999, Alternative TV, Chelsea, conta também com bandas de Mod Revival e Psychobilly em alguns de seus volumes (a partir do 11, aparecendo com muita força no 20). A versatilidade é o que realmente torna a coletanea muito boa, alem do punk77, estão presentes entre outras coisas, bandas de Oi! music, Street Punk, Punk80's, Hardcore Punk, etc. Além de estar recheado de classicos, traz bandas que tiveram uma menor expressão, mas nem por isso são piores, pelo contrario, traz bandas fantasticas pouco conhecidas pelo publico, que não cabem aqui, só baixando e ouvindo mesmo. Divirtam-se, aqui tem material suficiente pra isso.

SS-Kaliert - Dsklation

SS-Kaliert é uma banda nova alemã da região de Ruhrpott e foi formado em 2003, influenciados por bandas como Chaos UK, One Way System, Casualties, The Virus, fazem um som na linha streetpunk.

O primeiro EP "Stand up and fight" foi produzido em 2004 com a ajuda de Wölfi vocalista da banda alemã Die Kassierer e rapidamente vendeu as 500 cópias produzidas, dessa época em diante a banda cresceu e tocou por toda Europa.

"Dsklation" é o primeiro álbum da banda, lançado ano passado, quando realizaram nos EUA uma turnê com a banda Lower Class Brats, também já tocaram ao lado do Total Chaos.

Para os desinformados, SS-Kaliert não é uma banda racista, nacionalista, muito menos nazista, também não pregam qualquer tipo de política em suas letras.

Doble Fuerza - En Las Calles

Uma das mais conhecidas bandas de punk rock da Argentina, o Doble Fuerza foi formado 1987 por três antigos amigos no bairro de Quilmes, em Buenos Aires. Nesses 20 anos de estrada, a banda já passou por várias formações (não contanto, atualmente, com nenhum membro da formação original), e já tocou com grandes nomes do punk rock mundial, tendo aberto o show dos Ramones na Argentina em 1994. Já lançaram 5 álbuns de estúdio, sendo esse o 4° deles. Atualmente estão em turnê pelo Brasil.

Far From Finished - East Side Of Nowhere

Mais uma boa banda saída da ótima e criativa cena de Boston, nos Eua. Com 2 membros de outras bandas da cidade, o Far From Finished faz punk rock fortemente influenciado por Oi! e street punk, além de um pouco de hardcore e de rock’n’roll. Esse é o primeiro disco deles, lançado no ano de 2005. Recentemente eles lançaram seu segundo álbum, chamado “Living In The Fallout”.
