The Mahones foi formado na cidade de Ontário, Canadá, no ano de 1990. Seguem a linha Irish Punk, Folk Punk ou como queiram chamar. Já lançaram 7 discos, e estão prestes a lançar mais um, de acordo com site oficial dos mesmos.
Não está no nível de bandas como Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys ou The Real McKenzies, mas ainda sim é uma banda legal que faz um som sincero e divertido.
