Abrasive Wheels - When the punks go marching in!

Abrasive Wheels foi originalmente formado em Leeds (Inglaterra) no final da década de 1970, mas foi no meio da década de 80 que Shonna (vocal), o guitarrista Dave Ryan, o baixista Dave Hawkridge e o baterista Mark Holmes finalmente se reuniram para fazer uma gravação. O single "The Three Track Army" foi lançado pela própria gravadora da banda (Abrasive Wheels Records) e quando mixado com Slaughter & The Dogs, rapidamente vendeu os 3 mil discos prensados.

Logo depois assinaram com a "Riot City Records", agora com o novo baixista Harry Harrison e o baterista Nev Nevison. O primeiro lançamento para o selo foi o single de 3 faixas "Vicious Circle".

Mike Stone, produtor de grupos como Discharge, GBH e The Lurkers foi então responsável por supervisiosar as gravações para o primeiro LP da banda, "When the punks go marching in". Com 14 ótimas faixas, incluindo o single Vicious Circle, o clássico Burn 'em down, o álbum atingiu o topo da Punk Chart e alcançou grande marca na Independent Chart.
